Laine Thomas, PhD, leads the Estimands component for O2E. She has extensive experience leading the analysis of clinical registries (ORBIT-AF, CHAMP-HF, COMPARE-UF) and clinical trials (NAVIGATOR, ARISTOTLE). Motivated by these collaborations, her research includes causal inference methods for observational treatment comparisons and heterogeneous treatment effects, all grounded in the specification of estimands. More recently, she has worked on estimands for pooled-data analyses like randomized trials augmented by external controls and meta-analysis.
