David Sielaty
David Sielaty, CFM, serves as Director of Facility Services at the DCRI, where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management and operations. In this role, Sielaty ensures that DCRI's physical work environments support the institute's clinical research mission, with a focus on strategic space planning, move management, and workplace experience.
Sielaty joined the DCRI in 2016, bringing more than 25 years of facilities and workplace management experience across the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the DCRI, he served as Vice President and Workplace Planning Manager at First Citizens Bank, where he established standards and processes for strategic space planning, furniture, move management, ergonomics, and staff building amenities. Before that, he served as Space Planning Manager at Johnson Controls, Inc., where he managed strategic space planning, move management, furniture inventories, and ergonomics for 4,600 employees across a 2.2 million-square-foot campus at GlaxoSmithKline's Research Triangle Park location. Earlier in his career, Sielaty held roles as Senior Planner at Storr Office Environments and Director of Marketing and Sales at FM:Systems, a leading provider of facilities management software. He also served as Director of CAFM Services at Little Diversified Architectural Consulting and spent nearly nine years as a Space Planner and CAD/CAFM Administrator at Freddie Mac.
Sielaty holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business and is a Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
