Daniel Edmonston

Daniel Edmonston, MD, MHS, is a nephrologist and clinical researcher at Duke University, where he serves as an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and is a faculty member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. His research leverages clinical trials, real-world evidence, implementation science, and translational methods to improve cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health. Edmonston's work on diabetic kidney disease and cardiorenal therapies, including SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists, has helped shape how clinicians approach care for patients with both heart and kidney disease.
