Working with Outside Recruiters

The DCRI partners with approved search-firm vendors for specific recruiting needs. Search firms are essential to recruitment and staffing efforts at the DCRI, and we value the partnerships we have built with our preferred vendors.

Please note: Preferred vendors must have a written and signed search agreement in place for a specific position at the DCRI for a fee to be paid for any candidate referrals. Regardless of past practice, all resumes submitted by search firms to any employee at the DCRI via email or the Internet, or directly to DCRI hiring managers in any form, without a valid written search agreement in place for that position will be deemed the sole property of the DCRI, and no fee will be paid in the event the candidate is hired by the DCRI as a result of the referral or through other means. Furthermore, direct contact with DCRI staff to solicit or present candidates is not appropriate; all such calls should be directed to Human Resources at DCRIRecruit@dm.duke.edu.
