| In the early 1990s, the DCRI developed the
in-house capability to provide packaging and distribution
of clinical trial materials and interactive voice-response
system (IVRS) services. Because of the rapid growth and demand
for these services, this operation was spun off from the DCRI
in 1997 as a separate entity and was later acquired by Clinical
Trial Services (CTS) and Interactive Clinical Technologies,
Inc. (ICTI).
ICTI and CTS now serve as the DCRI’s preferred providers
for packaging and distribution of clinical trial materials
and IVRS services.
ICTI’s technology expedites DCRI trials through advanced
randomization schemes, real-time enrollment data, and efficient
management of trial materials. The company also manages the
call center for the DCRI’s Clinical Helpline, which
allows investigative sites participating in DCRI trials to
contact knowledgeable clinical staff around the clock.
